Description

PIVOT Architecture seeks a design professional with three to seven years of experience to help us grow our expanding transit practice. We are looking for a candidate with strong design, organization, and communication skills with a passion for building positive communities through transportation projects. The ideal candidate must be able to collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members, contribute to workshop and in-office design processes, remain organized in changing environments, and be willing to travel one to two times per month. Anticipated design work includes a range of opportunities from Transit Oriented Development concepts to the development of brand-integrated station designs for new Bus Rapid Transit systems.

Proficiency required in Revit, Adobe Creative Suites, and 3D rendering software. Strong conceptual design and technical skills are desired. Professional degree in architecture, landscape architecture, or planning required.

PIVOT Architecture is a firm of 27, working from our offices in the center of downtown Eugene. Our work for transit agencies throughout the west allows us to positively influence a variety of communities while enjoying the laid-back livability of Eugene. We currently have projects in Utah, Washington, Oregon, California, and Utah. Our people work in an open and transparent way with active engagement with our clients and the communities they serve.  We listen to each other and our clients, and produce places that are responsive to programmatic requirements, context, and budget. We recognize our responsibility to manage resources thoughtfully, and understand that the decisions we make affect the health of our communities and environment. We seek people who understand that implementing these values requires thought, care, and creativity.

Eugene’s abundant bike paths, excellent schools, innovative mass transit system, and revitalized and vibrant downtown contribute to an increasingly vital city that is a rewarding place to live and practice architecture. Sustainable values and livability are important here, and as the town continues to grow, local architects enjoy the opportunity to directly and immediately advance the quality of our community’s life.

PIVOT Architecture is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
