Greenbox Architecture is a discreet boutique Architecture firm that specializes in the cannabis industry. Greenbox has a diverse portfolio in hospitality, adaptive reuse, community facilities, and some deign focused residential. This quickly growing firm practices architecture across the west coast and Hawaii. There are opportunities for advancement and growth in our Portland studio.


The ideal candidate has a desire to learn and grow as an Architect and in his/her profession. They should have 4-10 years of experience with a focus on commercial projects, as well as capacity for long or short project assignments. Successful candidates must be rigorous, innovative, articulate, self-disciplined, and confident in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate can manage and assist with work in all phases of projects including design development, preparation of construction drawings, and coordination of engineering consultant’s drawings. This includes an aptitude for new project types, interpreting building, fire and mechanical code requirements as well as and jurisdictional land use regulation. Organizing, executing, and coordinating design for one or more complex projects at a time is essential.


Qualified applicants hold a professional degree in architecture from an accredited Architectural program or are interested in pursuing licensure though internship. Must be 21 years old and pass criminal background check.

  • Must be willing to work in a team environment
  • Design tasks include Masterplans, Conceptual Studies, Program Requirements, Design Analyses, Area Calculations, Cultivation/ Extraction Facilities and Commercial building designs
  • Construction Document creation
  • Coordinate activities to complete design efforts and follow established QA processes
  • Interface with the design and implementation Engineers and Architects
  • Ensure the accuracy of the design package, meeting deadlines



  • Professional Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
  • LEED Accredited Professional appreciate, but not required
  • Experience in all phases of design
  • Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D modeling programs (Sketch Up preferred) and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Skilled in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat
  • Knowledge of how cultivation facilities and dispensaries are designed preferred, but not required
  • Ability to communicate ideas visually
  • The ability to understand spatial relationships
  • Experience in taking as-built drawings and field measurements
  • Creativity and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Computer skills required for drafting using AutoCAD programs 2010 and newer
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Well-rounded experience in architecture
