Description

Gnich Architecture Studio is seeking efficient, self-motivated team members to work on implementing branded retail projects (tenant improvements, new construction design, and documentation).

Positions

  • Jr. Designer - A:  (Undergraduate and/or Masters in Architecture, plus 2-3 years of experience working in a firm).
    • Performs routine design, documentation and provides office support for projects.
    • Assists in preparation of design and construction documents, correcting and updating drawings.
  • Jr. Designer - B:  (Undergraduate and/or Masters in Architecture, plus 3-5 years of experience working in a firm).
    • Prepares design and construction documents.
    • Requires general knowledge of design development and production of construction documents.
    • Performs basic project management tasks
    • Performs more complex projects than "Jr Designer - A" and assists in architectural problem solving as individual breadth of experience allows.
    • Basic knowledge of code/agency requirements and MEP systems.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD required.
  • Familiarity in Revit a plus.
  • Organized and has the ability to manage a workload of working on multiple fast-paced small projects.
  • Employee must be able to work independently to meet daily deadlines between several different projects within different jurisdictions and client contacts. There will be mentorship available, however self-driven and motivated employees will be best suited for the work.
  • Basic knowledge of programming and space planning principles.
  • The ability to perform basic management and document setup.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills and understanding of proper email etiquette.
  • Basic knowledge of interior architectural concepts and systems.
  • Previous retail design experience desirable
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment.

 

Salary

Commensurate with demonstrated skills and experience.
