FERGUSON ARCHITECTURE of Tacoma is seeking an intrepid PROJECT ARCHITECT WITH 7+ YEARS EXPERIENCE to join our fast-paced, collaborative team.  We’re looking for an adventurous and determined soul ready to be a ringmaster of design and documentation for multi-family, commercial, and custom residential projects.

Required Qualifications

  • A hunger for increased responsibility and autonomy, with a confidence to let your design voice be heard
  • Bachelor of Architecture degree from an NAAB accredited school; Master of Architecture degree preferred
  • Solid background in Revit and CAD
  • Sound, repeated experience coordinating and producing construction documents and specifications, including coordination with consultants, clients, and jurisdictions.
  • Fierce organization skills, with the ability to multi-task and a willingness to supervise and mentor internal team members
  • Knowledge of and interest in sustainable design principles.

Preferred/Optional Skills

  • Familiarity with project management processes, including project schedules, budgets, and contracts
  • Experience with 3D modeling software such as 3D Studio Max, Sketch-up or Rhino
  • Strong graphic and/or marketing skills, including experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe CS, and website design
  • Experience with physical modeling, 3D printing, and digital fabrication
  • LEED accreditation
  • In process or interest in obtaining professional licensure
