Intern Development Program and Architect’s Registration Examination Resources
Move more rapidly through the process of getting licensed with A.R.E. prep classes provided by the Emerging Professionals Committee. Free for Associate Members! Study for the exams with complimentary access to the A.R.E. library. Check-out materials for up to two weeks. Stop by the Center for Architecture to see what ‘s available – hours are 12 pm to 5 pm, Monday, and 9 am to 5 pm, Tuesday through Friday. Continuing Education and IDP Experience Hours
Associate AIA members and interns may earn IDP supplemental experience hours by completing approved AIA continuing education courses. One (1) AIA Learning Unit (LU) is equal to one (1) IDP supplemental experience hour. When submitting to NCARB, learning units must be documented on the intern’s AIA transcript. Associate members can access their AIA transcript by signing in to CES Discovery at www.aia.org/education.
Mentorship through a series of AIA tools to help you be an effective mentor as well as to find one. These programs are a collaborative effort of the Institute’s national Mentoring Task Group and numerous contributors from within and outside the profession of architecture
