Experienced Intern Architect Last Updated: February 11, 2017 (10 months ago)

As a young professional seeking to gain experience and build the skills needed in the world of architecture, one of the most important traits I maintain is the ability to learn new roles quickly. I have had experience in the field taking on new challenges and adapting to new tasks as they present themselves. Having worked at mostly smaller firms, I have had the privilege of seeing the industry through many different lenses, though I would love the opportunity to grow with a larger firm. Each new challenge has provided an opportunity for me to grow, learn, and come to understand what it means to be an aspiring architect.

From preliminary design through finished construction, I have seen projects at every stage. This has taught me the importance of diligence and perseverance through the process of creating built environments. I believe there is always a solution to issues that arise in this process, and navigating these issues is part of what makes this profession so exciting. The study of the process of design itself is as much a part of architecture as it is about making buildings.

I will be graduating from the University of Oregon in Portland in June 2017 with an M.Arch degree. Thereafter I will be seeking career opportunities in the region, hoping to be a part of this unique moment in architecture. I look forward to sharing a common vision and having the chance to go and make great things. Thank you for taking the time to view my resume and materials and please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.
